I think that this novel is very believable. I think this because of the way that he became stranded on this island. The way he became stranded on this island was that the ship that he was traveling on was in a very bad storm and it hit rocks and was wrecked. This is very believable to me because this could actually happen to a ship that is traveling in a bad storm. It is also very believable because of the things that Robinson does while he is on the island. One of the things that he did was that he made himself shelter with things that he salvaged from the ship and also he used the surroundings around him. This is a very believable thing because if you were in need of shelter you could use things that you saved from the ship wreck and use caves and such places to live. Also he picked berries and hunted for food. This is very believable because these are both ways that you can get food for yourself to survive on. I would not recommend this book to other people. The reason that I would not recommend anyone to read this book is because it was very hard to follow. The novel jumped back and forth between what was actually happening and what Robinson had been writing in his daily journal. Also the author used very different words. This made the book hard to read because present day Americans do not talk in this kind of way so we would not be able to understand it.
